The Friends of the Capitol Park Museum are proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Community Building Grant from the Baton Rouge Alliance for Students. This competitive grant supports organizations committed to strengthening education, expanding community access, and improving opportunities for students and families across the Greater Baton Rouge region.
This award will provide $3,000 in funding for 2026 programming, allowing the Friends to fully support several key initiatives, including:
Discovery Days
After Hours Educational Programs for K–12, young professionals, and adults
Summer at the Museum programming
Special educational events aligned with the Museum’s 20th anniversary and America 250
With this investment, the Friends will continue expanding free and low-cost public offerings that make Louisiana history more accessible, engaging, and community-centered. The funding also strengthens our partnership with the Baton Rouge Alliance for Students, whose mission aligns closely with our own commitment to education and cultural enrichment.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Baton Rouge Alliance for Students for their support and for recognizing the importance of high-quality, inclusive programming at the Capitol Park Museum. With this grant, 2026 is positioned to be one of our most impactful years yet.
Stay tuned for updates on upcoming programs and ways to get involved!
