Baton Rouge, LA — [12-1-2025] — The Friends of the Capitol Park Museum, the nonprofit partner supporting the Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge, announced today the launch of a refreshed visual identity designed to strengthen public awareness, reinforce mission alignment, and elevate the organization’s role as the Museum’s primary advocate and community ambassador.
The rebrand introduces a new logo featuring the silhouette of the Capitol Park Museum placed within the outline of Louisiana, symbolizing the Museum’s status as the largest site in the Louisiana State Museum system and the only state museum that tells the complete story of Louisiana’s history, culture, and heritage. The updated branding reflects a modern, unified look that communicates credibility, statewide relevance, and a renewed commitment to supporting the Museum’s mission.
“This rebrand represents a return to our original purpose,” said Griffin Landry, President of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum. “Over the past year, we’ve focused on getting the organization back on track—strengthening partnerships, rebuilding engagement, and reimagining programming. Now, we’re stepping fully into our role as the Museum’s beacon and advocate. Our new identity makes that clear to the public and to the communities we serve.”
The Friends will begin rolling out the new brand on December 1, 2025, with a full implementation planned for January 1, 2026, coinciding with the kickoff of the Museum’s 20th anniversary year. The timing reflects a strategic effort to build momentum leading into a year of expanded programming, membership initiatives, community partnerships, and celebratory events.
Key elements of the rebrand include:
a modernized logo centered on the Museum and the state
a cohesive color palette inspired by Louisiana’s landscapes and cultural vibrancy
updated messaging focused on advocacy, access, and education
new visual assets for events, membership, and community outreach
“The Friends play a critical role in supporting the Museum’s educational initiatives, public offerings, and statewide engagement,” Landry added. “This identity strengthens our ability to communicate that role clearly and confidently.”
The rebrand also supports upcoming initiatives including expanded membership drives, enhanced family programming, the return of major fundraising events, and new community partnerships designed to increase access to Louisiana history.
