Our Team.
The Friends of the Capitol Park Museum is guided by a dedicated group of community leaders, advocates, and professionals who share a common passion — preserving and promoting the story of Louisiana. Together, our board provides strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and creative vision to ensure the Museum continues to thrive as the largest and most comprehensive museum in the Louisiana State Museum system.
Through collaboration, advocacy, and hands-on involvement, the board supports exhibitions, educational initiatives, and public programming that connect Louisianans to their shared culture and history.

THE
ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
2025-2026
The Advisory Committee of the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum plays an essential role in guiding the organization’s growth, visibility, and statewide impact. Composed of former board members, community partners, and leaders in arts, culture, education, and public service, this committee provides valuable insight and expertise to strengthen our programs and outreach.
While the Board of Directors leads daily governance and operations, the Advisory Committee serves as a strategic sounding board — offering perspective, mentorship, and connections that help the Friends continue advancing the Museum’s mission. Members help identify partnership opportunities, support fundraising and advocacy initiatives, and ensure that the Friends’ work remains aligned with the needs and values of Louisiana’s diverse communities.
Together, the Board and Advisory Committee form a collaborative network of passionate advocates committed to preserving Louisiana’s stories and sharing them with future generations.
