Discovery Day invites families and young learners to explore Louisiana’s history and culture through hands-on activities, crafts, demonstrations, and themed learning experiences inspired by the Museum’s exhibits. Designed to spark curiosity and engagement, this program provides an accessible entry point for children and families to connect with the Museum in a fun, interactive environment.

Lunchtime Lagniappe is a mid-day speaker and cultural series offering visitors the opportunity to hear from historians, tradition bearers, artists, authors, and community leaders. These engaging presentations deepen understanding of Louisiana’s diverse stories while fostering community dialogue and enriching the Museum experience for regular visitors and professionals alike.

The After Hours series offers three tailored Museum experiences for K–12 students, young professionals, and adults at different times. Students enjoy early evening educational programs, young professionals connect through social and cultural activities, and adults attend late-evening themed events. This series expands access and strengthens engagement across diverse audiences.
